Who we are
Classic Tractor Sales (“we”, “us”) operates classictractorsales.co.uk, a UK marketplace for classic and vintage tractors, implements and parts. The data controller is Craig Simpson, a sole trader trading as Classic Tractor Sales, based in Moray, Scotland. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — for example when you submit a listing, post a wanted advert, make an enquiry to a seller, or sign up to our newsletter. This can include your name, email address, phone number and the details of the item you are buying or selling.
We also collect limited technical information automatically through cookies (see below), such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive at the site.
Cookies we use
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We use two kinds: essential cookies that are required for the site to work, and analytics cookies that are only set if you accept them.

Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. This sets the cookies listed above and shares usage data with Google as our processor. Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. No analytics cookies are set, and no data is sent to Google, unless you accept.
Managing your choices
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the link in the footer. Declining removes analytics cookies and stops any further tracking. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though essential cookies are needed for the site to function.
Sharing your information
When you make an enquiry or post a listing, the relevant contact details are shared with the buyer or seller so you can arrange a sale. We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers (such as our hosting and email providers, and Google Analytics) who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep your information
We keep listing and enquiry contact details for as long as the listing is active, and for up to 12 months after it ends, after which they are deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
